Tell Your Skin Type
Normal skin is mostly problem-free, characterized by fine pores and can have a slightly shiny texture. Dry skin can be easily irritated and inflamed and has a matte appearance. Oily skin tends to be shiny, with visible pores and can suffer from blackheads and pimples. Combination skin can include dry, normal and oily areas.

Apply Moisturizer
Always apply moisturizer to the face in an upward circular motion. Also, don't forget to moisturize the neck area, too.

Handle Pore Size
There is no way to permanently shrink your pores, but they can get larger! Pore size is pre-determined, but they will become larger if sebum and dead skin accumulate in them. And once a pore is stretched, it doesn’t shrink back. This is why it’s important to keep your pores clear and clean.

Deal with Red Cheeks and Forehead
Redness can mean broken capillaries or rosacea, and should be checked by a dermatologist. You can minimize the appearance of redness and sensitivity by using a non-abrasive cleanser and gentle moisturizer. Cosmetically, use yellow-based concealer and foundation to cover redness.

Sunscreen
Wearing sunscreen daily helps slow the aging process. Sun Protection Factor (SPF) numbers relate to the length of time you can stay in the sun without burning, and layering sunscreens of different numbers does not increase the amount of time you can stay in the sun. Choose a broad spectrum sunscreen that screens out both UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays cause premature aging, and UVB rays cause short term burning; both result in cumulative skin damage, so it’s important to protect your skin from both! There are two kinds of sunscreens - chemical and physical blocks. Chemical sunscreens absorb the sun’s rays, and physical sunscreens reflect them. Bottom line - everyone who goes in the sun needs sunscreen!
